So the question would be if everyone decides to drop the USD...

So the question would be if everyone decides to drop the USD which currency would they turn to instead? Would it be the EUR or the CNY? Or would it be a return to the old days of gold backing thus pushing the price of Gold through the roof? I couldn't even begin to imagine how many bits or green and white paper there is out there. Much of it would be locked up in safes, deposit boxes, glass jars in the bottom of the garden, etc. Everybody holds USD could the world afford to let it fail?
Perhaps its time to invade North Korea and start a war to divert everyones attention.
