I just re read silkadeers post, and I have to admit that I did mis interprit it a bit.
I also emailed SEG and as usual I got a very quick response from Steven Michael.
Steven said " the conductor we drilled at C1 was graphite, however we intersected multiple horizons of pyroxenite lenses on the way down, these remain highly prospective."
" The green blob is not graphite, but our interpreted mafic/ultramafic intrusion".
" Graphite is conductive ( ie conducts electricity) but is not magnetic. Therefore the magnetic target is unlikely to be graphite. Before we drill the green blob, our plan is to complete a gravity survey, which will provide a much better understanding of the density of the underlying rocks. Mafic/ultamafic rocks are much denser than graphite."
Steven did ask me to clarify that they are planning a gravity survey and NOT a magnetic survey. He said " we are out to tender for gravity survey, but expect to be able to finalise the programme shortly."
I hope this helps to clear up any misunderstandings about the green blob.
