HI 1 bacchus, i flew for qantas in the 70's 80's and early 90's.. did all emergency procedures days at mascot's swimming pool etc... since then everytime i fly... i always count seats like you said and read emergency procedures card on board to familiarize myself with type of aircraft. After flying for nearly 20 years.. and doing hundreds of life jackets demonstrations... i always look and listen to F/A demo.
