I almost fell out of a helicopter at 2500 feet once when i was in Indonesia doing a check flight with a pilot. Finished the sortie and he needed to do some "compass swing" checks. I decided to unbuckle for a while when he rolled over to far in the hover because of a generator failure. I was sliding straight out of the aircraft, my shoulders and head where outside and i was looking at the ground below, i was saved when my knees got caught in a harness accidentally. I threw up when he levelled.
People do not realise the thin margins that airlines run on. $80 from Sydney to Brisbane is a joke. If the above is a result of rushed maintenance, someone will get into a lot of crap. Air safety extends beyond terrorism.
