Actually it's incredible to think that the market is still valuing BDR at $200 million despite all the positive news in the last few months, not to mention the positive effect POG in AUD and BRL should have on the balance sheet (IMO) in the coming months.

So much for the market being forward looking eh.. lol. With regards to BDR, it appears that Mr. Market is still reminiscing about the bad times and stuck in neutral following a disaster September quarter and overall poor FY2014 results (IMO).

YTD the SP is barely in positive territory and over 15 months the gap versus Gold and its ETF equivalent in Aussie dollars (for example) is as wide as it's ever been.

BDR was also the worst performing gold producer in 2014 (see table below) and remains so at least over a 15 month period (and probably longer). Again hard to believe but I was thankful to be able to take advantage of yesterday's capitulation at the auction with another top up.

Big call and obviously early days still, nevertheless additional research in Q1 has only re-enforced my decision to place an unusually large percentage of my portfolio in anticipation of the answer to that question being an emphatic 'YES', though it must be said that BDR and it's SP have a lot work to do if it is to stand on top of the podium for 2015.

All about POG - and if breaks below 1170's could see BDR fall back further - for me why trading around the edges till get some clarity on what gold will do - jobs report on Friday makes holding gold a somewhat risky proposition over Easter Break.....suspect a bit of short covering will be removed tomorrow...
