Its the belief or mindset approach to how ones view stocks for ones investment, IMO, that says whether its a technical or fundamental viewpoint.
Chartists have a wide umbrella of tools that can dissect whats happening on the chart. Not all chartists use the same tools or even agree with the deductions made. Some might just use price action and volume activity and others rely heavily on indicators and oscillators.
Fundamentalists seek to determine the drivers that will affect the sp at sometime in the future. Investors with different skill levels will make informed decisions as to likely effect on sp. My understanding is that the current sp will be seen as either undervalued or overvalued as a result.
Take a squizzy at some of the recent posts on the EXT thread and compare them with the AIM posts. The common thread that connects them is HOPE. Theres faith expressed that good times are acoming. Not saying that it cant happen just saying the common mindset is to stick with the stock becasue the fundamentals are so good.
-----------------------------------------------------
EXT & AIM are poles apart fundamentally and really shouldn't be compared.
EXT is (at this point in time) a punt stock where AIM is progessing towards production. >
