Some facts as far as I know about housing finance in Australia now
(1) The LVR average is about 49%
(2) A significant number has prepaid mortgage by about 14 months
(3) In the US subprime when the loan became bigger than the value of the house.............the owner handed in the keys to the bank.......end of story
(4) Here there is no such arrangement
(5) There has been insufficient supply for the past decade................we are catching up now
(6) Australia's pop is 24M and growing
(7) The economy is better than expected
(8) The reporting season was quite robust except for miners and energy
(9) The shorters love the power of fear. You have seen the effect of this power in the past two trading days.
