There's 98 designs under development @Goblin, but only 3 SMRs that have actually been built and are in operation.
In fact I don't think you can call the three that have been built SMRs. The M stands for modular, and if you've only built one of a certain design, you can't claim it's a modular design, it's just a small nuclear reactor.
There are three small nuclear reactors built to three different designs in the world. They aren't even SMRs by any accepted meaning of the term.
The other 90 odd are still being designed and can't be built until the technology exists to fix some of the technical problems with those designs.
The fact is a true, working SMR design simply doesn't exist yet. Dutton is selling you complete BS.
