Also I remember buying ounces of silver for aud$6 many years ago. So till now that's a 450% increase. Think my home may have increased about 150 - 180% since then. Don't forget on a home loan you pay interest as well.
Gold and silver ain't as bad as you make it out to be I'm glad I have some. I don't loose any sleep over it whatsoever and that's worth heaps as well. Looks like it will go to my kids, give them a decent start in life.
