Skol, I am fairly ignorant of high finance. But basically a traditional gold ETF will buy bullion. I suspect these days this is not necessarily the case with sophisticated financial instruments, futures options etc... I am guessing if you shopped around you could find an ETF that puts all its funds into gold. I understand Sprott has recently lanched a silver fund that uses its funds to buy silver.
