But 1 spacecraft collecting a 1g sample from 1 asteroid hardly counts as mining or many times.
Commercial mining of asteroids may well happen, but it's many decades away.
Still, the main argument for gold is that because it's scarce it will always be valuable.
In the future it may not be scarce, and markets are forward looking.
