Paul, you are right, of course. It was said with tongue planted firmly in cheek, but it is nonetheless true that all three of TON, MTA and OGI have gone to some pains to emphasise how close they are to SYR by frequently dropping the Balama name, while very rarely pointing to the district, rather than the village.
Please do not feel offended - I enjoy your thoughtful posts on the TON threads. But I do like my Scotch, and you have to admit the parallel seems apt!
