Non believers sometimes wonder why Christians need or rely on hope if they believe their eternity is in Heaven.
Christian faith is an unconditional trust in what Christ has promised.
Hope is almost a maybe maybe not attitude, doesn't sound very trusting to me or anyone ?
...
So what is this hope (blessed hope at that ) that Paul speaks about ?
The taking of The Church in the twinkle of an eye, that is The Blessed Hope.
The imminent return of Christ for His Church.
Then the 7 year tribulation will shortly begin for those left behind (non-believers)
...
The Blessed Hope is that Christ returns for His Church while the believer is still alive.
That's the blessed hope we have.
We unconditionally trust that we will go to Heaven
We hope that it happens before we die.
..
See the difference ?
No?
