Much as I want us to regain the Ashes, and much as I admire Johnson's amazing displays of bowling, I can't get over this sledging. Unfortunately, Australia seems to have long been world champions and chief bogan Clarke encourages them by being one of the worst. Johnson bowls extremely well - why can't he leave it at that? He intimidates batsmen. Yet he mouthes off with profanities after every other ball and after every wicket.
To those who say it's part of the game and always has been, I say it's all a bit last century. Personally I find our team an embarrassment when they act like bogans. I'd like to see the rules tightened to stop it - be it suspending a bowler for an innings or sending someone from the field for an innings. We want to watch cricket - not a bunch of Bazza McKenzie boofheads.
