I see, talking about the top end .....take mine back soz.....I was talking about the buckle end (gas charge) and did not even think bout the top.
Yes, top end should lock, but does not use any electronics to do this and never has.
btw - I love electronics in cars. To me the 10 steps forward makes up for the maybe 1 step back.
