Not sure, I didn't think to ask him about his insurance. I'm hoping he gets a big payout from Kia as in his 3 year old car, the airbags didn't deploy, the seatbelts didn't lock and the steering column didn't collapse so he took the full force of the accident. Too much electronics in cars these days.
