The term asylum seeker is applied to everyone on boats. This is just wrong as most of these people are deemed to be economic opportunists and sent back to were they came from.

Australia has has a extremely generous refugee scheme for genuine asylum seekers who go through the correct mechanism to gain citizenship in this country.


Even Abbott uses asylum seekers. He will make the same mistake he made with AGW and climate change. Too totally different things.

The left use these simple terms that the simple voter can understand and they speak volumes but are not reflective of the true nature of things.
