1. you have it back to front. No BHP, no RIO > no major mining industry = no jobs = no profts = no tax at all!!
2. Instead of envy, try buying shares in BHP and RIO and you too can share in the profits - after all this is a stock market forum.

I thought the idea was to promote and stock ownership here - this is capitalist nirvana! No room for Wayne Swan-like class warfare.

I've always wondered why there are socialists on HC - more hypocrisy, no doubt, or are the resident socialists all wannabe shareholders?
