I took a position in BIT approx 2 months ago because of the fact that they would be presenting at this Conference!
"History repeats". Holders of 12 months+ should be aware that after another Conference the SP shot up 30%+.
I have used this strategy with other biotech stocks. Same result.
Trading yesterday was most likely daytraders taking their 20% and moving on, unaware that the Boston Conference 8-11 March was going to light a fire under the SP. IMHO anyway.
Today is the 4th consecutive day of volume over 1 million.
Until yesterday, the SP had been steadily rising and the Buy volume steadily increasing. Yesterday was an opportunity to top up. How many took it?
I believe the increase in the SP and trading volume is ALL related to the Boston CROI Connection.
Less than 8 weeks away.
Its just common sense.
Today's trading seems to be back on track.
