Your comment, "IMO Imminent invasion of the Ukraine by the Russians!" is a tad alarmist, especially when backed up by the newspaper article which is three months old (25th April) and the situation is significantly different, now. However, in the event that Russia does ramp up its position again, it seems unlikely that WWIII will result. Just lots more sanctions. The US do some stupid things militarily (well, lets not limit it to militarily), but starting WWIII over a former Soviet satellite is not likely to be one of them. At least not until they get another Bush in the White House.
