the bottomline is this

we the consumers/customers want the cheapest prices to fly...thats ok but then someone has to miss out...
So the workers the dont get payrises, the company does not get a return on investment, the shareholders lose money rather than make money...
If we paid higher prices for flights the other three areas above would be happy...
We cant have it both ways...you cant produce an article for $1 and sell it for 80c...

So the public will use other airlines, so qantas will have to reduce staff because less demand...again no-one wins...in this delicate environment maybe people should be thankful they have jobs...it can all change in a flash...
