Some people are worried about the effect of the WA election on the Feds making a pro-PEP 11 decision.
Well, we saw what happened in Qld when southerners like Bob Brown marched to oppose Adani coal before the last election. It pushed Qld swing voters into the hands of the conservatives.
Imagine a Liberal/LNP governmentt dropping support for both coal AND gas at the same time!! It would make the WA massacre look like a teddy bear's picnic.
A yes decision for PEP 11 would remind heartland voters that the conservatives are pro-resource development.
