The fact of the matter is - The government WANTS and NEEDS GAS and they are not going to start a GAS LED RECOVERY by denying PEP11 permit.
Looking through the lens of the decision makers JB and KP (well mainly KP who has final say), look at what BPH and the PEP11 permit (when approved) can bring to the table!
Every box has been ticked as to why they should and will approve PEP11:
# Solving the gas crisis issue at hand when they hit the motherload
# CCS program reviewed by ADD Energy and Prof Peter Cook (who is a world leading specialist in this field) at the helm.
# They have been issued the permit before and there were no major issues environmentally. The CCS program will also be a big deal and something they will keep talking about once they approve it....reducing carbon emissions, helping the environment and solving the gas supply, what's not to like?
# Labor Government is on our side! Save Our Coast Facebook page who are trying to stop PEP11 do not think so but Labor have changed their tune about gas big time (see second pic attached)
All the heavy hitters that love gas will love what the PEP11 permit can bring to the table. I'm sure Scomo, Pitt, Angus have had some form of contact/meeting with Breeze (especially since Peter Cook joined the team) to discuss the big GAS/CCS plan.
Without rambling on anymore (as I am out at work), it's easy to see it is all coming together perfectly for BPH. I'm definitely glad I got tickets for this one, wouldn't want to be standing on the sidelines when this takes off.
