    Sorry I didn't explain it as well as I should have. I meant to say, foods often associated as having high levels of dietary cholesterol also have high doses of dietary choline (as well as other valuable vitamins/minerals), i.e. eggs. The whole war on cholesterol turned people off eggs, and reduced the majority of the populations largest supply of dietary choline. which most estimates show western populations lack.

    Also I mentioned that not only is it produced by the body but also regulated by a feedback mechanism, i.e even if we consume dietary cholesterol, and however small amount is actually absorbed, our body will down regulate its own production to compensate.
