I said that it was the only safe drug (IMO) which I should clarify - there are other drugs/'things' that aid/cause neurogenesis. These are (from memory, I may miss one or two):

anti-depressants
exercise
blueberries (yep!)
a challenging mental environment/learning
caloric restriction
meditation

There's a few other drugs and supplements that could be placed on the list that I'm less certain of but have reported benefits (such as psilocybin, ketamine, various BDNF triggers, omega 3 fatty acids) and then also things that are important for brain health but don't cause neurogenesis (vitamin B complexes and choline and many others).

Well, blow me down. Paid quick visit to Everpharm's spiel page and saw the word "neuro-regenerative". Between that, and "neurogenesis", didn't know that was possible, silly bumpkin me.

Heh heh heh, been taking blueberries and oats/muesli for an automated breakfast ever since Dr Oz espoused it in 2004/2005. Also been taking B family vitamins for ages - but to prevent DNA damage, not for brain. Hurray for multi-function!

Damn that caloric restriction! So useful... SO hard to do!
