I remember it well. At the time I thought to do some research into the end products that were derived per barrel. The below link was the closest I could find that explained it well - but it is rather dated. Personally I'm wondering whether the breakup is still the same for gallons of petrol vs diesel vs kerosenes vs remaining niche more higher priced end products.
