I was favouring upside move too CG. I remember reading this post and the comment 'post shale era'. Prompted me to do some reading at the time.

Aparently shales favour production of diesel/kerosenes/jet fuels where heavier crudes favour petroleum. So i thought barrels of shale predominantly make diesel and barrels of heavier crude predominantly petrol.

So with shale gone - diesel oversupply diminished. Also, over supply of basic petrol also diminshed as they reweight diesel production from heavier crude barrels.

Anyway - they were some thoughts at the time based on some reading and little understanding admitedly. Probably all completely wrong anyway.
