    I am from NZ too but I prefer trading in Au than States...
    NZ stock exchange is one of the world's best for steady gains but if you want to quench your volatility and risk thirst, I reckon Au is good enough... I traded in States and I hate going beyond etfs... I prefer sticking closer to home... I feel like I can remain in-charge and manage my portfolio better, that way...
