"traders dicking around with the markets".........sorry pisces, but traders don't 'dick' around with markets.

Good traders have a well planned and practised trading methodology to engage with markets based on experience and sound trading strategies.

"If you panicked every time this happened you'd end up broke like every other bear who's ever tried to get money out of markets".....................pisces

A good trader never panics...........and a 'bear' can achieve good results by either short selling or better still, staying out until the market suits their trading style.

"They're guaranteed to be saying the chart says something else this time next month."

Only a fool would say what a chart would be doing in a month's time. Traders act only if and when signals are given............they never pre-empt.

"The one all the chartists don't want to be on"............again,there is usually a valid reason for this.

"If you then want to get everyone on board you just change the chart".......sorry, but the price of the underlying stock or commodity is the price traded on an open auction system. No-one can change the chart. It is what it is.

"It's not hard if you have control of a stock or a market".......blaming someone that somewhere, somehow they have control over an open price setting mechanism is a cop-out for your own personal performance. It does nothing to change your results. It's a fruitless exercise.

"Until that changes they'll run it up when they feel like it again ".............who are they? And in any case does it matter, why not just follow 'them' as the price discovery process is transparent. If it is not transparent to you, then just stay out and look for something that is transparent to you.

"I really hope it corrects strongly"..........................Good traders never hope.

    Hope is note an option.

For anyone looking to trade the markets it is important to develop you own thoughts, and in doing so, it becomes a healthy exercise in debunking popular market myths.
