My goodness you are a chatty lot ;-), I have been trying to catch up after a couple of weeks of concentrated grandma duties and a general 'meh' feeling about life in general. Also been bashing my head off a brick wall trying to get a Pfizer vaxx for hubby, but despite a referral from his cardiologist that because he has had a recent stroke, is prone to brain clots etc, etc have got nowhere. My local vaxx clinic revealed that they had received a directive on 3 May from the Feds 'that no one over the age of 50 was to be given Pfizer even if they had a referralfrom a specialist' and no amount of pleading, reasoning etc could make them budge. I cannot believe the AMA has condoned this, a direct interference by a Government in the patient/doctor relationship. Anyway, enough of that.
@Bundy saw your request on 1AD, afraid I have little to add as it’s in Phase 1 trials and I never really follow any of the biotechs who are at that stage of their evolution. Just too many ifs and maybes. They are involved in trials of their drug against IPF (idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis … idiopathic means that although it’s a recognised effect/syndrome/disease whatever, that no one has been able to work out what causes it). And of course the PF part means an association with the current plague and more specifically what is known as 'long Covid' or the long-lasting effect of the virus on lung tissue. Whether that association has attracted interest in the company Idont know. I think that the company secretary of FMG has a big holding. Phase 1 results due at the end of the year I believe.
I laughed at your comment @snout, yes, the roller-coaster ride continues and fills me with joy (NOT). However my long-term goldies have finally rewarded me, with GOR being the best so far. I am a little concerned about WAF with the coup in Mali and have a horrible nagging feeling that Africa will go the way of India with Covid-19, poor health system and infrastructure problems. Hope Iam wrong. I agree with all the comments on Uranium and have PDN and BOE locally and a small investment in the Canadian company Denison mines. Keep up the great posts everyone, cheers h
