Hi PB
I'm in Perth and inflation is obvious e.g. lean mince in woolies $10.50 last March now $15.50 etc. etc., but I have to wonder with more and more homebrand items on the shelf every week are we getting a distorted reading of sorts? I mean the cheap products are here to stay but it's not apples for apples with the years gone by, another example is canned branded tuna $2.20 whilst homebrand is .90c it has to affect the inflation figures and then we have the recent lows in fuel prices that are coming to an end quickly.
I agree there is a glaring divide between figures used by CBs and what consumers are experiencing.
