Dave the reason I put so much importance on the ten year rate is because it is market forces that drive the levels. But invariably the central banks are forced to follow what is happening out there in the market. Just they mostly don't seem to have eyes that can actually recognize what is happening until someone hits them over the head with something heavy like the inflation rate.
