I have mentioned before that I did a project review last year on a giant pumped hydro proposal in NZ (like Snowy Hydro on steroids). Put simply Pumped Hydro is a form of battery; using excess electricity when "wind blowing and sun shining" to pump water up to a dam. Then releases the water to create hydro-electricity in times of need. 100% green energy (in theory).

Raised my interest in "all things energy" & been watching and learning ever since. Feel a bit naughty that only just completed a deal to get a giant solar panel system on my roof and again highlights how fun it will be to get "FREE" electricity in daylight hours ...... but again highlights to me a the giant excess of production from solar (the electricity companies pay virtually nothing for it) & the big miss when sun goes down .... coinciding with the highest demand hours 6-9 am and 5-8 pm.

So why the post; certainly occurred to me the future giant demand for electricity from EV's could be met to a very high extent by just charging during the daylight hours using solar in MOST cases.

just my 2 bobs worth.

I am watching as it hopefully is tracking up this nice little Andrews Pitch fork nice BT of median tyne so hopefully back up to top tyne.

As is OFTEN the case I am well aware of the -ive scenario: a potential giant Head and shoulder top if it comes back down from here.
Tight stops in place for me.
