I think I have always UNDER appreciated the sheer scale of world markets versus Oz minnow. I particular what happens in the USA.
In my lifetime we have got so used to continuous growth here and in most of tge western world. Do we falsely believe that will remain "forever"? History tells us that is NOT necessarily the case.
Makes me wonder what happens if some of the more extreme possibilities of Trump winning later this year; of course losing might even have bigger consequences?
The scale of Oz vs USA graphically demonstrated by;

versus the scale of the US whale shares!
