One other issue with the ASX that staggers me is price manipulation through, often bots, doing regular tiny share trades (often < $10) at the Buy price if trying to keep/move SP lower and vice a versa for trying to manipulate higher. I understand these trades will be done at $zero brokerage and are a blatant share price manipulation method. For years I have believed that trades should be a minimum $ value; my guess is $1,000 would be healthy BUT even $100 would help. WHY DOES THE ASX/ASIC allow this??????
While I'm whinging how about centre point trading which of course is not even visible to Retail investors on platforms like Commsec refer here if you dont know what it is: https://www.asx.com.au/markets/trade-our-cash-market/asx-equities-trading/asx-centre-point
Both of these only advantage the professionals/brokers over retail and for the life of me I do not understand why they are allowed. Any other BTers with a view?
