also not talked about too much, but i have read/learned, that first stage of countries development uses iron ore, cement,sand coal, energy and so on............

second stage comes the greater use of base metals, gold accumulation and so on.

China it's economy going OK but having a rest from the heady first stage of growth of the last 20 yrs or so, should soon get going more steadily into the second stage using greater base metal resources.

With a China's GDP per capita of around $12/$13K per capita, it still needs to double it's economy to catch Japan's $24K per capita, grow roughly three times to catch Taiwans $32K per capita, or Korea's level

Still leaves China a long way to go. Plus India, plus Asia, plus Indonesia, plus Central Asia, plus Africa, (although, slowly though for africa).
