Your posts actually prompted me to think through a few of my "own issues" and even have a glance at my SMSF Trust Deed. I suspect it is way out of date as it was set up in the nineties. From a personal perspective I would certainly be interested in any "learnings" from your interactions s please don't hesitate to share!!!
FWIW several years ago I gave up using accountants to do any of my finances, so I now do all Tax Returns and other compliance docs for my SMSF, Family Trust, Company and personal stuff myself. I got sick of the professional advice being not so professional and costs spiralling every year.
