My poor communication here is trying to say that one of the leaders in the EV plus battery space is building a gigafactory based on the battery chemistry of Sodium ion not lithium.
It is far more common than lithium and at a guess much cheaper- if this works it surely will impact lithium demand for batteries ?
BYD is the company it is competing very successfully with Tesla- Charlie Munger described the founder as a genius.
