A bit more substance to the above post... OCA is NZ developer and operator of retirement villages and full time care facilities i.e care beds, care suites and units.
My bull case:
- Strong development pipeline with the market demand forecast to outweigh supply.
- Up ~39% since its IPO about a year ago and showing a nice chart to my amateur eyes.
- A third of New Zealand's population live in Auckland where the property boom has given many the ability to choose a premium option in the event they need to enter assisted living.
It reminds me of LIC's market being cashed up from the Australian property boom, although LIC's product and target market are a bit different. For what it's worth, I don't hold OCA as of yet and see it as a potential long term hold.
On a more human note, I do hope they are doing a proper job of looking after their 'target market'.
