I have reservations about the efficacy of NTI's Mente suite of products. Reading the prospectus I see that there will be a clinical study later this year which should resolve this. But the evidence so far is pretty vague, talking about changed brain waves in small sample groups. I kind of think this product might be of similar quality to those devices using electrical currents to stimulate muscles, in that there is some evidence to suggest it might work and indeed these devices are allowed to be sold, but they haven't exactly replaced pumping iron. The science of neurofeedback has been around since the 199o's so it's not new. Prima facie it seems like a poor quality biotech offering to me, the kind our friend at asxlongtail loved to lambast before he closed his website to public viewing .
