GJ I think a more productive way to think about the future of transportation and your Electric Vehicles (EVs) and Driverless Cars (DCs) technology is under the catch all concept of Transport-as-a-Service. I've tried to attach the Wikipedia link but not sure it worked. Easy enough to google directly: https://www.google.com.au/url?sa=t&...ggbMAA&usg=AFQjCNHrWgOdbgCMswRmCqWM0oqMhOwf9A

However, the idea of TaaS is where I think you'll find new and hence disruptive business models rather than just new technological upgrades of existing products such as cars.

Already under the TaaS banner are ride-sharing services that have established in big cities. Uber perhaps. Public transport becomes a much more attractive service with the Opal Card in Sydney for cashless swiped payments on all transport modes and also the ability to consume web info on electronic devices on the trip. Even old school push bike hire fits under this model.

I think TaaS is where young entrenuers should be brainstorming around and perhaps how investors should frame their thinking when someone floats a new TaaS concept that applies new technology in an interesting way, rather than just investing in the upgraded technology itself.
