Jako gave an excellent reply to that question, well worth reading again and again. Only thing I would add is that all those questions you ask will require different answers. Those answers, ie strategies, will depend on market conditions, the sector, the stock selected, your own risk appetite (u may have 10 houses, who knows?) and so on.

Only thing that is really important is that you need to develop your own answers (strategies)

Google 10, 000 hours and read some of the better articles on 10,ooo hours because that's how long it will take to get to where you are going. Daunting, I know, but well worth it. Not many can do it as they think it can be done ia a day....lol!

(when googling 10,000 hours,just make sure u by-pass the junk that u can do it in 20 hours.)
