Exactly right.

Most of the charting I see on specs is someone getting an idea from the FA or what someone said ,looking at the chart and then guessing on a scenario that suits their emotion on the stock at the time.

Total waste of time in my view . How often do you see bullish chart scenarios put up on spec stock threads only to see the thing completely fall over a day or two later .No legit chartist would waste their time on most of these stocks but I do admit to checking out the chart on anything I invest in at that end to make sure I'm getting in when the chart is about as poor as it can be .

I always remember when I was a bit wet behind the ears talking to a guy about a stock that we were going to invest in and I made the comment that the chart looked terrible . He laughed and said don't worry ,we'll make it look a whole lot better in a few months.
