Going back to your question about how to catch runners early, I personally think a combination of price and volume carries the key. Often there's an expansion of the latter before the former....I think if one could make an automated script to run looking for volume spikes that would be one way to do it. Then compare it to other stocks in the same sector and see if multiple stocks are having an expansion of volume and then buy that way
As to how to execute that...I don't know. Still trying to figure that one out. Maybe an excel spreadsheet? Maybe an amibroker script? Not sure
