The Iranian evidence that the Brits were in Iranian waters at their time of capture comes from the GPS of one of the captives.
These little gadgets not only show position but actually record your track on a moving map, where it remains until deleted or the memory of the map function is exceeded and the map overwrites itself.
The GPS showed not only that they were in Iranian waters when captured, but that they had been in Iranian waters 5 times in recent days.
So obviously the Iranians had observed these transgressions, watched for them, and grabbed them.
Can you really blame them? The Brits begged for a confrontation.
