me of the horse trainer who gave his horse a 'lolly' just as he legged the jockey up.As he did so the chief steward came around the corner and asked....'what did you just give that horse?'....the trainer said....'just a peppermint sir....he loves them,here you try one...i'll have one too' The chief steward ate the 'lolly' and was convinced and walked away. The trainer then said to the Jockey....'I want you to lead the field into the home straight and then boot away from them' 'what if something comes up along side me?'...asked the jockey. The trainer replied....'It will only be me or the chief steward...and we dont count!!'
