I see your problem, you are confusing science as an ideal, a theoretical construct with science as it is actually practiced. The scientific ideal is elegant and noble.but science as actually practiced is very often politicized, groupthinking, fraudulent and financially driven.

And BTW, 'accept the science' is just another way of saying you believe the science(and all the scientists involved) without actually using the word 'believe'.
