Of relevance to this thread about the new fire paradigm.My brother who has a large 300 acre block near Mt Belmore in NSW with house, outbuildings and an extensive mango and avocado orchard just got burnt out.He was well prepared and had taken every precaution.With NO help from RFS or Forestry who were fully stretched under catastrophic fire conditions burning on multiple fronts he and his wife alone managed to save the house and structures , but lost all fences and most of his orchard livelihood is gone.Everyone living in the bush near eucalyptus forest has to accept the new realities caused by rapid climate change.
