Yeah, there is obviously a fair bit of backstory to all of this. Regal are killing it with all their funds who hold Syrah. In the last quarter most of those funds are up 16+%, yet SYR is down nearly 50%. And the SYR stake isn't small either. Hard to reconcile without seeing the numbers, but at face-value there seems to be some sort of "manipulation" going on behind the scenes. If Regal were really concerned about the drop in price, they could easily just recall the loaned stock and squeeze the price back to some normality - as per the agreement, the lender can "recall at its request".
