The "please explain" should be directed to the brokers not the company - they're the ones who place the orders - won't hold my breath though - the ASX and CFE have got history.
I noticed the buy side dry up in the morning - I thought maybe an annoucement is pending and CFE had to pull their buy back orders. Could be either a takeover for FEL or an announcement on Mayako - should find out soon.
What's interesting is that before the share price slide about 4 million shares had been traded; another 2.5 got traded in the slide but then another 15 million have been traded in the high sixties after the slide.
Thats alot of buying and if its not the share buy back (which we will find out in the morning) then its a good bet someone has got serious dibs on getting a stake in CFE, if not the company itself.
I for one am waiting anxiously on that Appendix 3B in the morning.
